Searching for enough is a 7 track album exploring grief, loss, and love from the perspective a 20-some year old South Sudanese-Canadian woman. It traverses the genres and paints a sonic picture as diverse and nuanced as grief can be.
SFE started in 2021 in a studio basement with friend and collaborator Connell Stinnisen and has since taken a life of its own as I’ve shared my experience and journey ideating the album with friends and musicians city-wide.
Catharsis
The first song I wrote for the album and the inspiration for it all.
I wrote this song after struggling with the loss of my father in 2017, unable to cry or grieve, I had gone numb to all things around me. This was my plea to feel again.

After ruminating the story themes and sounds Searching for Enough is ready to be built - that is arranged into full fledged songs.
This will be done in Edmonton, Alberta with local musicians and collaborators who breathed so much life into the story - Enoch Attey, Gareth Gilliland, Sahil Chugh & Timiro Mohamed among others.
